My Go-To Makeup Products

Let's talk beauty! I've received some questions on both the blog and instagram about the makeup products that I use on a daily basis. When it comes to makeup, there are certain products and brands that I stay loyal to, but there are also ones that I frequently change. (like mascara & blush) I am constantly experimenting with products and I suggest doing that until you find the ones that work the best for you!

For years, I was using MAC foundation mostly because I was just used to it.  However, as I have gotten older I realized that it was not really working for me and my skin.  It was too thick and I wanted something much lighter.  I started using Make Up For Ever over a year ago and now I don't think I want to use any other foundation.  It's light, matches my skin tone perfectly and the best part is that it doesn't even feel like I have foundation on.  The downside is that it's a little more expensive, but for me it's worth it!

This is a little trick that I learned from one of my friends.  I've mentioned many times before that one of my biggest concerns are the dark circles under my eyes.  This is all based on a color theory.  Since our dark circles are typically "blue," the opposite color would be orange so they cancel each other out. I have been using this for months and it's made a big difference.  You only need to use a little bit so this has lasted for awhile.

I have the same story with my concealer as I do with my foundation.  Previously for years, I was using MAC concealer and then I made the switch over to Make Up For Ever.  This is definitely one of my favorite concealers and I've seen a big difference from when I started using it. And don't get me wrong, I still use some MAC products but when it comes to foundation and concealers, I am all for MUFE,

I incorporated this into my makeup routine earlier in the year and I love the soft glow that it leaves on my face.  I put it on my cheekbones and by my brows and a little under my eyes as well.  It's a cream-to-powder highlight making it very easy to blend.

I just ran out of this and I need to get a new one ASAP.  I use this every single day after applying my concealer.  It can be used as a highlighter, concealer or an all around touch-up tool.  I use it as a highlight specifically underneath my eyes and it really helps to brighten up that area much more.

I have used a bunch of different bronzers and so far this is my favorite one.  I started using it when I was in LA back in April and I've been hooked ever since.  I love the fact that it's matte because sometimes bronzers can make you look way too shiny.  It also works really well with my skin tone AND it literally smells exactly like chocolate.

I was previously using a blush from MAC that is always sold out whenever I try to get a new one, so in the meantime I got this one.  I actually like it though! This one is very pink so it needs to be blended in well.

I have all 3 palettes but I tend to use this one the most.  I love the neutrals for every day wear.  I tend to mix a lot of different colors together my favorites being Virgin, Half Baked, Smog, Dark Horse and Hustle.  I use Virgin as the highlight and I love putting Half Baked on my lid near the corners of my eyes for a golden shimmer.

I tend to use this palette frequently too.  Some days I use this one instead of the Naked1 or I pack it in my makeup bag and use it for quick touch ups on the go.

This is a must!  I've been using it for over a year and it's one of my favorite products.  It goes on ultra sheer and is perfect for priming your eyes before applying any shadow.  It also helps to keep the eye makeup stay on longer.

This is the only thing that I use on my eyebrows.  Ever since my bad experience with threading, I have groomed my eyebrows myself.  This is a great way to fill them in a bit more.  I then blend it with an eyebrow brush. It's pricey for such a small bottle but it actually lasts awhile.  Make sure you don't put too much on!

I swear by this liner.  I've been using it for a very long time and have no complaints.  I apply it on my lower lid and it really helps to define my eyes.  It stays on majority of the day too and I rarely have to touch it up.

I am constantly trying out new mascara, but this one just made it's way to the top of my list.  I have only been using it for a couple of weeks, but it's made a big difference with my lashes.  It doesn't clump, it spreads out my lashes perfectly and makes them appear much longer.

When I want to do a little cat eye, I use this liner.  I like it because I was never able to achieve the cat eye before using this.  It definitely made it much easier to do.  I just wish there was more liquid in the tube so that it would last longer.

This is my every day liquid liner for my top lid.  The felt tip makes the liner go on super smooth and the black is very bold.  It doesn't smear and it lasts a really long time.

I am lipstick obsessed and as much as I love my red, I stick to pink for every day wear.  I have a couple of favorites that I keep on rotation, but lately it's been all about Turn On, a rosy pink.
